02 — Planning & Permits. Our team manages all drawings, city submittals, inspections, and permit checkpoints. You never have to deal with the city yourself.
03 — Expert Construction. Our licensed Arizona trades build your ADU with quality materials suited for the desert climate. We coordinate everything.
04 — Final Walkthrough. You inspect every detail before we hand over the keys. We don’t consider the job done until you’re completely satisfied.

Do I need a large lot for an ADU in Maricopa County?
Most cities allow ADUs on lots 6,000 sq ft and larger. On a 7–8,000 sq ft lot, you’ll typically have comfortable room for a detached unit. We assess your property in a free consultation.
How long does a full ADU build take?
Typically 4–7 months from contract to certificate of occupancy, including permitting. Surprise, Peoria, and Phoenix are generally efficient — and we know the local permitting process well.
Does Fortress handle all the permits?
Completely. We manage all drawings, city submittals, every inspection, and the final certificate of occupancy. You don’t deal with city offices at all.
Can I use my ADU as a rental — short or long term?
In most Phoenix-area cities, yes. Many of our clients use their ADU to offset their mortgage or generate passive income. We’ll point you toward the right city-specific resources.
What’s included in the starting price?
Standard finishes, foundation, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and full interior finish-out. Upgrades, site prep, and utility connections are scoped and quoted clearly before you sign.
Can I customize the floor plan to match my home’s style?
Absolutely. The three plans are starting points. We adjust layouts, add covered patios, change exterior finishes, and tailor the architecture to complement your existing home.
